Largest Diamond Ever Sold At Auction Fetches $30.6 Million

A 118-carat egg-sized jewel, is the largest diamond ever sold at auction, the price rose to $30.6 million at Sotheby’s in Hong Kong on the 10th of October, its basically $259,322 per carat. It was the highest ever price obtained for a white diamond, a record that was only set in May this year when another D colour, flawless diamond, a 101-carat pear-shaped stone, sold at Christie’s in Geneva for $26.7 million, or $254,400 per carat.
